Hospitality
Year 12 Hospitality were busy this week making Four Cheese Ravioli. The origin of this famous Italian staple food dates back to the 14th century. Keeping with Tradition year 12 rolled and cut their pasta dough from scratch learing essential skills in the process. Served in a fresh, housemade chicken broth with tomato and asparagus. Well done Year 12.
Timber
Year 11s have been working hard making their wooden dovetail joinery boxes.
Dovetail joints are a sign of a true craftsman. Noted for their resilience to pull apart, these finger-like joints between two pieces of wood enable a tight, strong, and long lasting fit. Students are using both this new skill and previously learnt timber skills to create their projects.
