Last Monday, 6th March, some of the SRC students attended the National Youth Leaders Day Conference at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour hosted by Halogen Australia. The conference aimed to inspire young people to develop their leadership skills and leadership potential. Students had the opportunity to listen to prominent guest speakers known Australia-wide and be involved in learning exercises, student involvement, music, and student interaction.

Guest Speakers included; one of the most recognisable lifeguards in the world, Anthony "Harries" Carol, one of the main stars of the global TV hit Bondi Rescue. Caitlin Bassett, former captain of Australia's national netball team, the Diamonds. Dr. Jordan Nguyen, is a young man on a mission to improve the lives of as many people as possible who designs life-changing technologies. ​​Maz Compton is one of Australia’s most recognised radio voices and MTV host.

It was a fun filled day learning about how to inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well.
