Year 8 Bridge Building

Mr Ferderer's Year 8 Techology class finished their Engineering unit with a crackle and a bang.

They assessed how much weight that their bridges would hold. The bridges withstood weights from 30 to 67kgs. Overall the students enjoyed this course which involved working in groups to make a mousetrap powered car and the bridges as well as individually making a balsa and pine wood glider.

They move on next semester to a 'hard materials' unit where they will be designing and making a range of jewellery- rings, pendants, etc.
