Bangarra Aboriginal Dance Excursion
On Wednesday 21st June, Miss Acevedo, Aunty Jo, Aunty Helen and Ms Mason took some of our Non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal students to Bangarra dance; this was performed at the Sydney Opera House.
The students watched the dance named 'Yuldea'. Yuldea explores the moment traditional life collided with the industrial ambition of a growing nation.
The students thoroughly enjoyed this experience, as they were able to see how contemporary Aboriginal Dance can explore and represent the history of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
