On the 11th August some of the Year 9 and Year 11 SRC students were invited to represent St Joseph’s at the Whitlam Youth Roundtable with Stephen Jones MP.

The Whitlam Youth Leaders Roundtable brings together students from across the area to talk about issues and concerns that are important to them with Stephen Jones such as climate change, mental health, education, unemployment etc. Throughout the day, the students participated in workshopping ideas and collaborating with other students. The students also learnt to work as a team by being involved in team building exercises and learning about how to be effective leaders with the Dragon football players.

It was an enjoyable day and a great opportunity for students to be heard and voice their opinions as future leaders.
