Remembrance Day 2023
On Monday as a school committee we commemorated Remembrance Day through prayer and a minute silence.

Remembrance Day - Kembla House
The 11th of November is a significant date in Australia, marking Remembrance Day. On this day, we are encouraged to take a moment of silence at 11 am to pay tribute to those who have died or suffered for the country's cause in all wars and armed conflicts. The poppy, a symbol of remembrance for World War I, holds a special meaning for this day. It is said that the poppies' popularity as a symbol of remembrance began due to their abundance in the landscapes of the First World War, especially on the Western Front, where they grew amidst the destruction and chaos of the war.
In commemoration of Remembrance Day, Kembla homerooms constructed over 130 poppies to create a heartwarming display at our school. Great job, Kembla House!
