From the Assistant Principal
As the school year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the time I have spent at St Joseph’s as Assistant Principal. While I only joined this exceptional school community at the start of Term 4, I am already deeply impressed by the remarkable achievements and the strong sense of community that define St Joseph’s.
Though I may have missed many of this year's events and milestones, I am excited about the prospect of contributing to the ongoing success of this school. I am eager to work alongside the dedicated teachers, staff, and leadership who have been the driving force behind St Joseph's growth.
I wish to extend my gratitude to the warm and welcoming members of the school community who have made my transition to this school so smooth. The warmth and hospitality I have experienced from day one have been truly heartwarming. The ‘Joey’s Way’ is alive and well.
I have witnessed some of the exceptional talent and dedication of our students. Your accomplishments in various fields, from academics to arts and the sporting field, are a testament to the hard work and perseverance that characterise this community. I am excited to get to know each of you better and witness your growth and achievements in the coming years.
I am looking forward to the 2024 school year. A year that will be filled with opportunities, challenges, and successes. I am committed to working collaboratively with all of you to ensure that St Joseph’s continues to provide an excellent education and a nurturing environment for all students. Your achievements and dedication are what make this school so special, and I am honoured to be a part of this remarkable community.
My congratulations to all students who received awards this week for their sporting, academic and leadership achievements. I would also like to congratulate those students who have achieved personal best results in their Semester 2 reports. There were so many students who demonstrated improved learning and behaviour outcomes in Semester 2.
A reminder to all students that we return to school in full Summer Uniform next year. Please ensure you are aware of, and adhere to, our revised 2024 Uniform and Grooming Policy.
Wishing you all a safe, restful and enjoyable break, and I eagerly anticipate the upcoming year at St Joseph’s, where together, we will continue to make a difference.
Mr Chris Shelton
Assistant Principal
