VINNIES WINTER APPEAL
Each year, during winter, St
Joseph's supports our local Vinnies van by collecting non-perishable food items which can be used to feed some of our most vulnerable community members. In the 2017-18 financial year, the Vinnies Van provided more than 16,500 meals and a range of essential items to support those in need. The service also helps foster connections between clients and other support services through referrals.
Joseph's supports our local Vinnies van by collecting non-perishable food items which can be used to feed some of our most vulnerable community members. In the 2017-18 financial year, the Vinnies Van provided more than 16,500 meals and a range of essential items to support those in need. The service also helps foster connections between clients and other support services through referrals.We encourage every student to bring in at least one food item to go towards our donation to help this service. Food required by the Vinnies van includes pasta and other food sauces,pasta, rice, tinned tomato, corn, vegetables, sugar, tea and coffee, long life milk or any non-perishable food items that they can use to create a hot meal.
This initiative will end at the end of week 9.
