SJCHS Push-Up Challenge
In June 2024, hundreds of thousands of Australians will participate in The Push-Up Challenge to improve their physical and mental fitness, have fun and raise funds to make a difference to mental health in Australia. This year, the St Joseph's Community will join this challenge with our two student ambassadors being Tyler Morris and Thomas Hofman.
- Sign up to be part of the challenge. You can do this as a team (2-20 people) OR complete the challenge as an individual. You sign up via this google form and will be sent more information via email.
- Once nominations close, you will be sent the community link to join.
- Track your progress and get daily updates on the app. Download the app to get the daily facts and targets, bank (a.k.a. log) your push-ups and keep track of your daily progress.
- Take creative videos along the way to post on our community page. House points will be awards for the most creative videos.
- Join in on our school community promotion activities along the way
- OPTIONAL: Fundraise to make a difference. You can choose to raise funds for Lifeline, headspace or The Push for Better Foundation while you push. When you register, you'll receive a fundraising page where people can donate directly to your chosen beneficiary. Each Team and Community also gets its own fundraising page. Not into fundraising? No worries! You can make an optional self-donation or choose not to raise funds.
We get it. Not everyone’s a push-up pro. Choose between the full target (3,249) or half target (1,625) when you register as an individual OR if you are part of a team, this can be completed as a team total.
You can also substitute push-ups with alternative exercises, like sit-ups, squats, wall push-ups - anything goes. Check out the training guide which will be sent out for plenty of options.
