A huge thank you to Mr Sutton’s Year 11 Numeracy class who have been sorting through the yellow recycling bins and recording and removing all contaminants in them.

They have been producing graphs for the school community about the number of contaminants (including soft plastics and paper towels) in each bin and tracking progress overtime. They have also been removing all 10c eligible bottles so that this money can go to families in need in our community.

This is a wonderful example of numeracy skills being put to the very valuable task of ensuring all materials put in the recycling bin are recyclable.
