Miss Refalo’s Year 11 Biology attended a field trip to Mt Kiera as a part of their assessment task on Ecosystem Dynamics. The students got to learn about the different tree species in the area, as well as their adaptations to the environment.

Students also got to use field equipment such as field microscopes, hand lenses, and set up their own quadrats to study the tree species. Their day ended with catching some vertebrate in order to study how these organisms have adapted to their environment.
