Socktober
As part of Catholic Mission month, this October, the SRC and YMLs are holding a socktober fundraiser for Catholic Mission. During week 2, we have been selling silly and footy socks, as we aim to raise money for a Caring Center in Mongolia. The Caring Center provides a home for young children like Otgonbayar and his friends who have nowhere else to call home.
As a faith filled Joey's community, we aim to kick goals for change to make this work a better and just place. Our generous donations will provide kids in Mongolia with nutritious meals to help them grow up healthy and strong, essential school supplies to support their education and warm winter clothing for the cold Mongolian winters.
We would like to extend a warm thank you to Collins from CeeCee Collective for the generous donation of footy socks to support this fundraiser. We would also like to thank the students who have already purchased socks this week.
Student will be able to wear their socks next Friday, the 1st of November, for silly sock day. We require a gold coin donation for all those participating, with all proceeds going to Catholic Mission. We thank you in advance for your generosity and support. We recognise that not everyone can donate, so we ask that you keep the children in Mongolia and the work of Catholic Mission in your prayers.
