Year 10 Science

Students in Year 10 Science have been learning about the visible light spectrum and refraction. Students have been using light boxes and prisms to separate white light into all the colours of the rainbow.

When looking at refraction, students were tasked with trying to concentrate the beams of sunlight through a magnifying glass to create a fire with a dry leaf. Students were also able to use this technique to write in pieces of bark.
