TAS - What's Been Happening?
Year 7 Technology A
Year 7 Tech students made fried ham and egg rolls this week. They did a great job and had it finished in one lesson and then started their formal folio task.
Year 12 Cookery ll
In Week 7 Year 12 Cookery ll finished their pasta making competencies this week. They made four cheese ravioli/o (depending on size), they served this with a chicken and saffron broth, tomato strips and grilled asparagus.
The students then made a blind lasagne with a filling of chicken cacciatore.
In Week 8 the Year 12 Cookery ll class peeled, shallow fried, crumbed, washed, steamed, simmered, top and tailed, cut into batons, boiled, seasoned, mashed, beat, and enjoyed their lesson!
The students made Chicken Kiev, honeyed baton carrots (a class favourite), steamed green beans, a wickedly smooth potato mash made with lashings of cream and butter. It was a real restaurant meal! The Kiev was made properly, shallow fried in oil and butter and finished in our combi oven...not deep fried. Dinner was covered for all!
