We also congratulate the following students who will be our Year 12 SRC Leaders in Term 4 2022 & 2023.
As a team, they are committed to including all students and being their voice to share and implement new ideas and initiatives. We look forward to working with the new SRC - Senior Leadership Team from the start of Term 4 this year.
School Celebration of Book Week
Last Monday, 29 August it was great to see so many students and staff dressing up and getting into the spirit of Book Week. We celebrated the day with a full school community assembly run by our current Year 12 Student Leaders, who took the opportunity to dress us as some of their favourite teachers, the most popular being their PALS Teacher, Mr Hetherington. Thank you to Mrs Schneider and Mrs Curcio-Borg for their organisation of this celebration.
Celebration of the Diocesan Live Festival
On Friday, 2 September the Diocesan Live Festival was held at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre. Students attended a variety of engaging workshops followed by some free time to relax and mingle in the afternoon. The events of this day culminated in a faith-filled and awe inspiring gathering after dinner in which participants reflected on the nature of God's love inspired by individual testimonials and a very passionate and energetic live band. This included a very moving and meaningful celebration of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament led by the Most Reverend Brian Mascord, Bishop of Wollongong. Participants from all Diocesan Secondary Schools were then invited to an opportunity for personal prayer and reconciliation. Thank you to Mr Fenech, Mrs Burns and Mr Burns for accompanying our students on this event. We strongly encourage more students to take advantage of these valuable faith formation events in the future.

RU OK? and National PDHPE DAY
Our PDHPE Faculty merged it's celebration of National PDHPE Day with the important RU OK? Day theme by running a variety of great fun activities for Year 7 students in period 1 to 4 on Wednesday 7 September. This was enjoyed by all students who participated, with the whole school invited to participate in some of the healthy fitness activities at recess and at lunch time. Special thanks to Mrs Garbutt and Mrs Sharkey who coordinated this wonderful community day enjoyed by everyone involved.
School Uniform - Skirt Lengths and Acrylic Nails
This week, we have reminded girls of the requirement that skirt lengths be worn to the knee and a number of students have been advised that their hems need to be taken down before next Monday.
Students were also reminded that acrylic nails are not permitted. These present a work, health and safety issue in practical subjects. Checks of girls' nails will take place next week.
Year 11 End of Year Exams
We wish our Year 11 students all the very best for their final Year 11 Exams which commence next Thursday, 15 September.
Wishing all our families a restful and relaxing weekend!
