Hi Year 12,

Hope your HSC exams are going well. Please backup any data including pics, docs, school work you wish to keep, etc from your school Google Docs/Gmail School account (yourname@dowstu.catholic.edu.au) as the account will be deactivated at the end of the year (2022).

The best practice would be to download the folders/files that you want to keep and store them on a separate hard drive or upload them to some other cloud storage.

Once your school account is deactivated you will not be able to access any of your material on your school Google Drive/email so this is important. If you have used your school email account to register for other services you will need to transfer those to another email address. Make sure that you contact any prospective employers, universities, colleges, contacts etc using your own new/personal email address.

After your last HSC exam, we recommend that you remove the Year 12 profile from your laptop. To do this click on the Apple logo at the top left, go to System Preferences, click on Profiles and remove any school profiles. You can also delete the app called Managed Software Centre from your applications folder by moving it to the bin or right-clicking and Move to Bin.

For those that have school-owned laptops on loan please return them to the IT office if you haven’t done so already.
