The fourth term is always busy. Year 12 are nearly at the end of their HSC exams and we are looking forward to the Formal celebration next week. Year 11 are well into their HSC year of study and are about to move into the first assessment period.

Most of my time has been in recruitment over the last few weeks - I am pleased to say we have a high quality of teachers for 2023 and I am looking forward to working with them all. Unfortunately, the teacher shortage is a real thing - we are low on available casuals and will be looking to engage with new teachers in this area for 2023.

Pyjama day on Friday has been a good fundraiser and a success initiated by Year 12 Leaders. There was a lot of laughter and fun around some of the PJ’s being worn on the day.

Mr Brown’s last day with SJCHS is next Tuesday. For 2023 he is taking up a position at CCCHS. We wish him all the best.

Year 7 camp was highly rewarding for the students in developing skills and building relationships. Thank you to the supervising staff who made this experience possible for the students. Congratulations to the majority of students whose behaviour was excellent.

I would like to encourage all students to keep working towards their semester grades and learning outcomes that will support them next year as well.
