SCHOOL UNIFORM 2020 UPDATE
At this week's School Assembly, all students were informed that in 2020 white socks will be permitted with their jogger style sports shoes with the sports uniform. There has been a shift back to white, along with other non-fluro coloured joggers now available in stores. Students will therefore no longer be permitted to wear black socks to school. Please support your students to meet this requirement by ensuring they have a few pairs of plain white socks ready to start the new school year.
If you are planning to purchase new sports shoes for the new year, a reminder that only non-fluro coloured jogger style shoes are permitted to be worn with the sports uniform and regular hard black leather lace up shoes are to be worn with the regular school uniform. Vans, Converse and other canvas shoes are not permitted at St Joseph's.
As many of our students have grown, girls have been asked to check the length of their skirts before returning to school next year and to amend the length accordingly, so that the skirt is worn to the knee.
We thank you for your ongoing support of our expectation that all students take pride in wearing their school uniform correctly every day to bring credit to themselves and our School.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our students and their families a very happy and blessed Christmas and a relaxing, safe and peace-filled holiday!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS SUMMER AND VOLUNTEER WITH VINNIES!
The Christmas period is an extremely busy time for our Vinnies shops as the donations increase and many of our regular volunteers are on holidays. As a way to counter this we are encouraging local school students to give back to the community and help out our shops. This is an excellent way for students to boost their resume, gain new skills and give back.
If you’re over 16, Vinnies would love to have you as a summer volunteer! It’s a great way to gain work experience, boost your resume and give back to your local community. Full training is provided, so you can gain skills in customer service, cash handling & sorting processes.
For more information simply drop into your local Vinnies shop, renee.cooper@vinnies.org.au or text ‘Summer Volunteer’ to 0477 345 712 ’
Thank you for your support of Vinnies and if you or your students have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact Renee on renee.cooper@vinnies.org.au.
