At the end of 2022 the students and staff of St Joseph's farewelled the following teaching staff.

We sincerely thank them for their contributions to the Joey's school community and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.

Mrs Helen Sara is taking leave for 12 months and we wish her a safe journey on her travels.  Mrs Bridget Davis will be taking leave for Term 1 and Mrs Nicole Hensman will be Acting Leader of Learning - Maths.

School Office Closure

The school office will be closed during the holidays and will re-open Thursday 24 January at 8.30am. 

Messages may be left on the answering machine (4230 8500) and will be monitored for any urgent queries.  Alternatively, you may email the Principal's Secretary at info@sjchsdow.catholic.edu.au.

For your information we enclose a letter from the Premier, Dominic Perrottet MP regarding the $150 back to school voucher program.

Please note:

• Service NSW have advised that CEDoW is NOT an eligible business and, accordingly, the vouchers cannot be redeemed against school fee accounts.
• We have also been advised that the uniform shop is NOT an eligible business and, accordingly, the vouchers cannot be redeemed against school uniforms.

We encourage parents and carers to make sure they redeem the vouchers when purchasing eligible back to school items for the 2023 school year.  The vouchers must be used before 30 June 2023.

The uniform shop will be open at the following times in 2023 allowing for students to purchase the required items before the commencement of school.

In 2023 St Joseph's will be launching our House system.  Our 5 Houses will be, Keira, Kembla, Warrigal, Marshall and Macquarie.

All students will be given opportunities to participate and earn points for their House in a range of activities that will be competitive and community-based and will allow students to participate in the broad range of opportunities offered at St. Joseph's. 

Each House will strive to be the best through participation, victory, and engagement in our community.   Following from our theme of Belonging in 2022, we hope to build stronger links to the broader community and build our reputation as a school community who are proud of who they are and what they stand for.
